Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Nico is the son of immigrant parents from Argentina. His youth was shaped by extensive travel across North and South Texas, complemented by annual visits to Argentina. The diverse landscapes and cultures he experienced deeply influenced his perspectives, instilling an enduring recognition of how place and the built environment shape personal identity. .
Nico earned his Master of Architecture degree in 2019 from the College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs (CAPPA) at UT Arlington. From the start, he endeavored to push the boundaries of conventional design and construction. Growing up around his father’s ice cream distribution company, Nico gained early exposure to industrial cold storage and prefabricated systems. This unique background sparked his interest in experimenting with used and recycled materials, leading him to embrace non-standard building techniques. His work reflects a deep commitment to rethinking sustainability and exploring innovative approaches to design and construction.
Nico balances his professional life between architecture work and a variety of personal creative pursuits. These include personal projects exploring design+art, construction, steel fabrication, knife making, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, business development, and, most recently, website design. During the week, he works at Studio 97w in Fort Worth, while his weekends are dedicated to an endless exploration of creative discovery.
